Brittany Cartwright had an unexpected moment at BravoCon. She ran into Lisa Vanderpump backstage for a surprise reunion. The run-in came days after Cartwright told fans she hadn’t heard a peep from Vanderpump in years.
Cartwright shared on her When Reality Hits podcast that the reunion felt surprisingly warm.
“I was like, ‘How are you doing? It’s been so long,’” she said. “She was so nice… she told me I was a warrior. She said she was proud of what I’m doing.”
Cartwright said she thought there would be awkward tension. This was especially true after she expressed her disappointment about Vanderpump ghosting her during important life events. Instead, she said the interaction felt “good” and surprisingly sincere.
Vanderpump’s husband Ken Todd and one of their dogs were reportedly with her. Cartwright said they were both “so nice.” But she kept the chat light. She didn’t mention Jax Taylor or the divorce.
But Days Earlier, Brittany Told Fans LVP Never Checked on Her, Not Once
At the same BravoCon, Cartwright told Decider that Vanderpump hadn’t reached out in four years.
Cartwright said Vanderpump didn’t contact her during:
- her divorce
- her son Cruz’s autism diagnosis
- her split from Jax
- or even during the Vanderpump Rules revival
“She hasn’t checked on me since my divorce, since my son’s autism diagnosis, since anything,” she said. “She likes who is bringing her money at the time. And it’s not currently me.”
Her disappointment was clear.
“I thought she was an amazing person… I haven’t heard anything from her in four years.”
Even after that, Cartwright still reunited with her politely, a very Brittany move.

At BravoCon, Cartwright shared during her The Valley panel that she won’t rewatch Vanderpump Rules. She especially avoids the season where she revealed Jax’s cheating with recordings.
“I would absolutely die if I rewatched Vanderpump Rules,” she said. “I’d be too ashamed of myself to watch it back. Because of where I am now.”
Still, she acknowledged that her complicated past brought her to the place she’s in today.
“But remember, I wouldn’t have Cruz,” she added. “So live and learn.”
Cartwright said her son is “doing amazing” and called him “incredible.”
Brittany Shares Divorce Update: “I’m Praying It Will Be Finalized Next Month”
Cartwright’s split from Jax Taylor continues to drag on. She filed for divorce in August 2024, six months after they admitted they were “taking time apart.”
“It was supposed to be Oct. 15 and it’s been pushed back,” she said. “Fingers crossed.”
Cartwright confirmed Jax will “absolutely not” appear in The Valley Season 3. She said she wants viewers to see her reclaiming her life.
“If I could help people learn how to get out of a toxic situation, that was really important to me,” she explained.
