This page explains how TV Shows Room reports, sources, and corrects its stories. We wrote it so readers know exactly what to expect from us, and what to do if we get something wrong.
How We Source Our Stories
Every story starts with something a cast member said or did publicly: an interview, a social media post, a reunion special, a podcast appearance, or an on-screen moment. When we quote another outlet, we name that outlet and link to it. When we describe something a cast member posted, we link to the original post where possible.
We do not pay cast members, publicists, or production companies for information, and we do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage.
How We Handle Speculation and Fan Theories
Reality TV runs on speculation, and we cover fan theories because readers want to know what the fandom is discussing. But we label speculation as speculation. If a headline or story includes a theory that has not been confirmed by a cast member, production, or the network, the article says so directly, usually with language like “fans believe” or “sources have not confirmed.”
If a story is confirmed after publishing, we update the article and note the update. If a story turns out to be false, we correct or remove it and note that too.
Editing and Review
Every article is written by a member of our team and reviewed by an editor before it goes live. We check that quotes are attributed to their original source, that speculation is labeled, and that headlines reflect what the article actually says.
Corrections
We make mistakes sometimes, and when we do, we fix them. Our approach:
- Factual errors are corrected as soon as we can verify the correct information.
- Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the article, with a brief explanation of what changed.
- If new information changes the story substantially, we update the headline and body, and we note when the update was made.
If you spot an error in one of our stories, tell us. We would rather fix it than leave it wrong.
Advertising and Sponsored Content
TV Shows Room runs advertising through Google AdSense. Ads are always visually distinct from editorial content. We do not publish sponsored posts disguised as news, and no advertiser has editorial input into our coverage.
