This time, Meri Brown spoke about a pain that followed her for decades. Fertility.

“There were definitely times in my life that I didn’t feel like anything I could do was right,” Meri admitted.
“Like, I couldn’t even have a baby.”

Kody and Janelle once planned to get married on her birthday.
“They fail to recognize that possibly some of the issues I had in polygamy could have stemmed from that,” Meri said.

“They were like, ‘It doesn’t matter. We’ll just celebrate it a different day.’”
Meri was stunned.
“Like, excuse me. It does matter.”
Only Kody’s mom stepped in and delayed the wedding. But the damage stuck.
