Meri Brown Breaks Down Over Fertility Pain on Sister Wives

Meri Brown Breaks Down Over Fertility Pain on Sister Wives

Sister Wives delivered another gut punch during Season 20’s One on One Part 3.

This time, Meri Brown spoke about a pain that followed her for decades. Fertility.

On the January 25 episode, Meri sat down and reflected. She thought about how it felt to watch her family grow while she stayed the same.

“There were definitely times in my life that I didn’t feel like anything I could do was right,” Meri admitted.

“Like, I couldn’t even have a baby.”

The words hit hard.

Sister Wives: Watching Kody Build A Family Without Her

Meri married Kody Brown in 1990. She was his first wife.

They welcomed their only child, Leon Brown, in 1995.

And then it stopped.

Meanwhile, Kody’s family kept expanding.

Janelle Brown had six children.

Christine Brown had six children.

Robyn Brown later had two kids with Kody. She also adopted three more into the family.

Meri stayed on the sidelines.

“I felt like something was wrong with me,” she confessed.

Sister Wives: “It’s A Whole Other Level Of Pain”

Meri Brown said no one outright blamed her. But empathy was missing.

“I don’t know how empathetic they were with it,” she said.

“You know, watching them have babies when I couldn’t.”

Then she said what many viewers felt in their chest.

“It’s one thing to watch my sisters or friends have babies when I want them,” Meri explained.

“It’s a whole other level to watch my husband have them with other people.”

That reality chipped away at her sense of worth.

Slowly. Repeatedly.

Sister Wives: Meri Brown Still Hurts Over Janelle’s Past Marriage

Sister Wives: The Birthday That Still Hurts

The episode also revisited another wound Meri never forgot.

Kody and Janelle once planned to get married on her birthday.

“They fail to recognize that possibly some of the issues I had in polygamy could have stemmed from that,” Meri said.

She remembered how casually they dismissed it.

“They were like, ‘It doesn’t matter. We’ll just celebrate it a different day.’”

Meri was stunned.

“Like, excuse me. It does matter.”

Only Kody’s mom stepped in and delayed the wedding. But the damage stuck.

Sister Wives: The Brother Detail That Complicated Everything

Meri also reminded viewers of a detail that always made things harder.

Janelle was once married to Meri’s brother.

“And they forget that there might have been some emotions involved,” Meri said, “with the fact that she used to be married to my brother.”

It was not jealousy.

It was layered.

It was personal.

And it never fully healed.
