In the Season 5 premiere of 90 Day: The Single Life, the 90 Day Fiancé star shared that she placed two children for adoption over 30 years ago. The confession shocked fans and surprised her son Jamal. He had no clue he had siblings.

Kim Menzies, then 21 and starting her military career, felt unprepared to raise a baby alone after her first pregnancy.
“When I got pregnant with my first son, Larry, the first thing his dad said was abort it, and I just couldn’t do that,” she shared. “But I was only 21 years old… I was not ready. So I decided to put my son up for adoption.”
For decades, she had no contact with him.
Then everything changed.
Larry found Kim and Jamal through an ancestry website and reached out. Cameras captured Kim and Jamal’s trip to North Carolina. They were excited to meet him and his adoptive family in person.
“I’m so relieved because he was such a good man,” Kim said on the show. “I don’t know how he would’ve turned out if I would’ve kept him. It makes me feel certain that I did the right thing.”

Just when viewers thought the story could not get bigger, Kim revealed another truth.
“Larry wasn’t the only child that I put up for adoption. I also had a daughter,” she confessed.
She has shared little about her daughter. She hasn’t confirmed if they have reconnected. On Instagram, she promised fans she would “post about her at another time.”

She admitted she did not handle the situation perfectly.
“I didn’t handle this journey perfectly with Jamal or Larry, and that’s something I will always regret,” she said. “But growth often comes with hard truths.”
Kim described finally sharing her story as “incredibly freeing.”
