90 Day Fiancé: Debby Told Mido She Loves Him, His Response Left Viewers Fuming

90 Day Fiancé: Debby Told Mido She Loves Him, His Response Left Viewers Fuming

Debby Rolando attempted to make amends with her fiancé in a sneak peek of the next 90 Day Fiancé episode. However, the chat quickly took a turn for the worse. When Debby told Mido she loved him, his response was a correction, not a thank you.

“I’m not talk all the time. I love you. I need you. No. No,” Mido said, making clear he does not like hearing constant declarations of love.

Debby held her ground with a reading of him that sounded almost hopeful. “I know that you love me cuz I don’t think you would have done all that you’ve done if you didn’t. You don’t want to say it, but I know it.”

Mido’s reply to that: it is “excellent” that she knows.

Excellent. Not “I do love you.” Not even a smile, based on the teaser. A woman told her fiancé she can feel his love even when he’s quiet. He then graded her response like it was homework.

What Mido Actually Wants From Debby

In his confessional, Mido shared his view on love. It focuses on what Debby should do for him.

“If you love someone, don’t say I love you. I love you. I love you all the time. You should to do something to be kindness, to be support me, defend me. She didn’t show me that… the life, not just love,” he stated.

He also laid out what he feels he is owed, given what he gave up. “I left my family, my work to be in your world. I think I deserve good heart to be with me and a good person.”

Actions over words is a reasonable relationship philosophy in a vacuum. The problem is that every example Mido gives flows one direction: support me, defend me, be kind to me. The teaser contains no mention of what he plans to show her.

The Blowup That Led Here

This conversation follows one of the season’s ugliest fights. The last episode featured a confrontation so intense that the filming crew and production team had to step in. This is rare for the franchise.

Mido was furious over how Debby shouted at him. Debby could not stomach how he spoke to her and her friends. She left him stranded and went home. Mido then said he wanted to fly back to Egypt, but he couldn’t find a flight.

Fans Are Not Split On This One

Some 90 Day couples divide the audience. This is not one of them. Most viewers strongly react against Mido’s behavior. Fans feel frustrated with him. They are also upset with Debby for putting up with it.

One fan wrote, “He’s only thinking about himself and if can’t or won’t say I love you to her then that should tell her that he doesn’t love her.” Another on Reddit noted the pattern in his speech: “Everytime he speaks it’s me, me, me, never we.”

Some viewers want Debby to end the engagement and send him home. They also wonder why his visa was approved. Others directed their frustration at Debby. They wondered how many warning signs one person could ignore.

The Question Hanging Over The Whole Season

Debby, a 55-year-old insurance agent from New Orleans, is now engaged to Mido. He is a 41-year-old Egyptian actor with dreams of Hollywood. TLC’s synopsis raises questions. It describes Debby as “questioning whether Mido is truly ready for marriage or simply chasing stardom.” Her friends and daughter also doubt his intentions.

That framing matters. The network signals the direction of the storyline by including the acting-career question in the official synopsis. The sneak peek suggests Debby is still hoping the answer is love. The audience stopped hoping several episodes ago.
