The timing could not be scripted better. On Monday, PK Kemsley filed court papers. He criticized his estranged wife’s long vacation in Europe. He claims it’s happening during their family’s “financial crisis.” On July 14, Dorit Kemsley shared photos from her 50th birthday dinner in Paris. She posed in front of the Eiffel Tower and told her followers, “the best is yet to come.”
One trip, two different stories, and a messy divorce in the spotlight.
What PK’s Filing Claims
PK, 58, claimed in court documents obtained by Page Six that Dorit has been away for “at least three weeks” without their two kids. He claimed Jagger, 12, and Phoenix, 10, are in Florida with Dorit’s parents and nanny, and that Dorit has “not informed the children, nanny or [PK] of her return date.”
The filing argues the trip “illustrates [her] prioritization of personal travel over addressing the urgent financial crisis facing [their] family home.” The former couple is potentially facing foreclosure on their Los Angeles home, a risk PK’s legal team claims has “escalated.” The documents claim that Dorit shows “a pattern of non-cooperation, broken promises, and bad faith conduct that has unnecessarily worsened” the situation.
PK claimed, first reported by TMZ, that Dorit let their kids’ passports expire. He said she knew he wanted to take them to the UK this summer.
Dorit’s rep hasn’t replied to Page Six’s request for comment. She also hasn’t publicly addressed the new filing.
Meanwhile, In Paris
Dorit’s Instagram told a different story entirely. She celebrated her 50th birthday with friends at Girafe. They enjoyed dinner together and took photos with a bouquet in front of the Eiffel Tower. They also soaked in the Bastille Day festivities.
“Celebrating this milestone with a full heart, deep gratitude, and so much excitement for what’s ahead,” she wrote. “So much to be proud of, so much to celebrate, and I truly believe the best is yet to come.”
She also honored her longtime friend, Javier Gomez, in her Story: “Over 20 years of friendship, and somehow the love, laughter, trust, and memories keep growing richer with time.” You’ve stood beside me through life’s highest highs and it’s hardest moments.”
Castmates showed up in the comments. Bozoma Saint John wrote, “This is the turn of a beautiful next chapter… HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BESTIE!!!” Erika Jayne added, “Happy birthday Dorit! Sending you lots of hugs and kisses. Have fun!!”
The Money Fight Underneath It All
This filing adds to a financial battle that became public in May. PK claimed Dorit spent over $1 million on designer goods during their money issues. He alleged $995,270 in “wardrobe related expenses” from December 2024 to March 2026. This includes $69,000 each at Louis Vuitton and Chanel, $38,000 at Hermès, and $22,000 at Saint Honore.
Dorit answered that one directly on Instagram in June. “Do I love fashion? Yes. Do I spend a lot of money on clothes? Expensive clothes? Designer clothes? Yes. It is my choice. It is also my money. It’s my money that I earn, that I work for. Not his money.”
Her response frames the entire dispute. PK’s filings treat the finances as one shared crisis. Dorit treats her earnings as hers alone. Until a court decides who wins, every purchase and plane ticket becomes ammo. Both know the cameras-legal and social-are always watching.

A Split That Keeps Getting Sharper
They announced their separation in May 2024 after almost ten years of marriage. They promised to “safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children.” Dorit filed to legally end the marriage the following April.
That harmonious framing has not survived contact with the divorce process. PK is now with his girlfriend, Tatiana Kharchylava. She looks a lot like Dorit. In June, Dorit told Watch What Happens Live that she’s “not yet” dating but is “very open” to meeting someone “interesting and cute.”
For now, the split-screen captures where things stand. He is filing court papers about the trip. She is posting sunsets from it. The court will eventually answer the foreclosure question, the passports, and the return date.
