“My Atlanta condo has been on the market for what feels like an eternity,” she said. “I can’t rent it because I don’t have a rental permit. It’s costing me $6,000 a month. I have to sell it.”
When her phone rang with potential good news, Alison could barely contain her nerves. “Possible sale,” she said, pacing before answering the call. Her agent delivered an offer: $690,000, buyer covers closing costs. Alison didn’t hesitate, “Let’s get it papered up and let’s get this thing closed,” she said with a sigh of relief.
Even though the price isn’t everything she hoped for, she’s taking it as a win. “I don’t want to be desperate, but, like, I’m kind of there,” she confessed. “Even though I’m losing money on it, I would still get back some of what I put in it, and I’m looking at that as a win.”
