Joanna Gaines is busy at the farm, but this time it isn’t with recipes or renovations. The Magnolia Table host revealed that plant care has become a big part of her daily routine.
In a new clip, Gaines walked viewers through watering day. Holding up a moisture meter, she explained, “Mr. Fiddle is dry. They’re hungry and it’s time to water them.” Her watering can carried more than just plain water. “It looks like tea,” she said, pointing out that the mix includes a natural fertilizer.
“One room done. About a thousand more plants to go,” she added, smiling at the scale of the task.
Fans Want to Know the Secret Mix
The detail that grabbed the most attention was her fertilizer. Followers rushed to the comments asking for her recipe. “Please share what natural fertilizer you use,” one fan wrote. Another asked directly, “What’s the food for the plants?”
Others connected with her admission about taking on too much. “I also ask myself that question 😂🪴,” a commenter joked.
Plants as Part of the Family
For Gaines, the plants are more than decoration. “They just feel like family members, honestly,” she explained. Some fans agreed, calling their own plants “extended family.”
One follower even shared that they took home a clipping from Magnolia Farm during a visit to Texas. After two years, that plant is still thriving in Ohio.
