Sister Wives just delivered a twist few viewers expected.
Kody Brown spent weeks apologizing to his ex-wives. Now, he says his biggest apology is to his current wife, Robyn Brown.
The moment comes during a confessional in a new episode preview obtained by Us Weekly.
And Kody does not hold back.
“I Owe You an Apology Most of All”
Kody admits he has spent the season trying to clean up his past.
But in doing so, he says he overlooked the woman who stayed.
“It hasn’t been very fair. I haven’t been very fair with you,” Kody tells Robyn.
Then comes the line that changes everything.
“I’ve been apologizing to everybody,” he says. “In spite of how brutal they were.”
He pauses.
“But you were never brutal. You’re never unkind. You’re never disloyal.”
Kody finishes with a confession that lands heavy.
“I think I owe you an apology most of all.”
Robyn’s Loyalty Gets Center Stage
Robyn remained Kody’s legal wife even after he divorced Meri, Janelle, and Christine.
Kody has praised Robyn’s loyalty this season. He has also openly criticized his exes.
That contrast has not gone unnoticed by fans.
And Robyn does not let him completely off the hook.
Robyn Says Kody Can Be “Emotionally Unsafe”
In a separate teaser, Robyn admits there are still issues.
“The only thing that I’ve kind of pulled away from is when you’re emotionally unsafe,” she tells Kody.
It is a phrase she has used before.
It is also one that cuts deep.
Kody responds by promising to stop tearing himself down and damaging their relationship.
Robyn reassures him.
“You deserve it. You’ve earned it from me, honey. I’m right here.”
The Apology Tour So Far
Kody’s emotional journey has included sit downs with all three ex wives.
Janelle appeared open and forgiving.
Christine listened while David Woolley confronted Kody about his relationship with their kids.
Meri did not hold back at all.
She demanded accountability and called out what she described as toxic behavior.
Each meeting came with tension.
Each apology landed differently.
Kody Says He’s Found Peace
Despite the mixed reactions, Kody claims the process has changed him.
“I almost want to say a phoenix metaphor,” he explains.
“This life that we had before has been kind of burned down.”
He insists he does not want to forget the past.
“I want to remember it and cherish it and move forward with the lessons.”
He describes his future with Robyn as “very beautiful, very safe, very whole.”
