Sister Wives star Mykelti Brown is not holding back anymore.
In a recent Patreon livestream with her husband, Tony Padron, Mykelti shared why she seems tougher on Meri Brown than on her dad, Kody Brown.
And yes. She fully owns it.
“I Have a Very Large Past With Meri”
Mykelti made one thing clear right away.
“I am not trying to be pro Dad or anti Meri,” she told viewers.
But then she explained why it sometimes comes across that way.
“I typically am more pro Dad and anti Meri because I have a very large past with Meri,” Mykelti said. “She was not a good person to me, ever, and my dad was.”
She quickly added that Kody was not perfect.
“He wasn’t always,” she said. “But I had a lot of good moments with my dad.”
That history matters to her.

Why She Forgives Kody More Than Meri
Mykelti said those good memories give her room to forgive her father.
“I’m allowed to be more forgiving toward him because of some of the good moments that I have had with him,” she explained.
With Meri, she says there are no moments like that.
“I have not had good moments with Meri,” Mykelti stated bluntly. “She was an awful person to me growing up.”
Short sentence. Heavy meaning.
Yes, She Called It Her ‘Revenge Arc’
Then came the most honest part.
“So I probably need to have my revenge arc of her,” Mykelti admitted.
She did not sugarcoat it.
“This is the best way that I can do it. Speak publicly negatively about her.”
She even acknowledged she may not be fully healed.
“So maybe I haven’t healed or moved on either,” she said. “That’s what this is.”
That level of self awareness caught fans’ attention fast.

Fans Already Know the History
This is not the first time Mykelti or her siblings have spoken out.
Over the years, Paedon Brown described Meri as “abrasive” and “kind of mean.” Gwendlyn Brown also admitted Meri could be scary when they were kids.
Mykelti has consistently claimed Meri was emotionally and verbally abusive, especially toward her.
That context explains why she does not shy away from criticizing Meri now that she has a voice and a platform.
Healing, But Not Quietly
Mykelti is approaching 30. That is often when old wounds resurface before they finally settle.
But unlike most people, she cannot fully escape the past. The show still airs. Clips still circulate. Fans still ask questions.
Speaking out may be messy. But for her, it may also be necessary.
This might not be peace yet.
But it looks like part of the process.
