RHOBH Star Amanda Frances Reveals Why She Really Fired Davina on Selling Sunset

RHOBH Star Amanda Frances Reveals Why She Really Fired Davina on Selling Sunset

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Amanda Frances just pulled back the curtain on a reality TV moment fans thought they understood.

According to Amanda, one of her most dramatic scenes on Netflix’s Selling Sunset was not exactly what viewers believed.

The RHOBH newcomer revealed that the moment she fired Davina Potratz was filmed long after the real fallout happened. She also hinted that her Beverly Hills castmates may have set her up this season.

And now she is explaining what really happened behind the scenes.

RHOBH: Amanda Frances Says the Selling Sunset Scene Was Not Real Time

Amanda shared the story during an interview on Virtual Reali-Tea.

She explained that Selling Sunset star Davina Potratz originally helped her in real life before the drama ever aired on Netflix.

“Davina was my agent in real life,” Amanda said. “She helped me find my first Bel Air house, which Eddie and I leased the first year we lived together.”

Their professional relationship started well.

When Amanda prepared to sell her West Hollywood home, Davina suggested doing it on the show.

But the timing created problems.

“I finished the renovation like six hours before the camera crew got there,” Amanda explained. “So when I’m telling her I need more time before I’m ready to sell, it’s because I haven’t even enjoyed the house yet.”

Amanda said the biggest twist came during the final scene viewers watched.

“That final scene where I fired Davina, I actually fired her over six months before that,” Amanda claimed.

According to her, the house had already sold by the time cameras filmed the conversation.

“The house had already sold. I had people moving in on Monday. We filmed on a Thursday or Friday.”

She said producers asked her to film the scene anyway to wrap up the storyline.

“I did Selling Sunset a favor,” she explained. “They said, ‘We need you to do one more scene.’”

Amanda insisted the decision to fire Davina came down to priorities.

“She cared more about reality TV than being an agent,” Amanda said.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star did not hold back while describing the breakdown in their working relationship.

“She was a good agent until we were filming,” Amanda said.

Then things changed.

“She cared more about getting the selfie in my house of her rented Chanel outfit than she cared about helping me sell the house.”

Amanda even claimed Davina told her the luxury outfit she wore during filming was leased.

That detail stuck with her.

For Amanda, the moment symbolized what went wrong during the process.

Amanda Frances Suggests RHOBH Castmates Set Her Up

Amanda also addressed the drama currently playing out on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

During recent episodes, several castmates questioned her business and her online manifestation programs.

Amanda believes the situation may not have been entirely organic.

“It’s different if you’re walking into a situation and you feel like it’s hostile,” she said in an interview for Casual Chaos.

She described feeling ambushed during conversations about her work.

“You feel like people don’t actually want to get to know you. You feel like you’re being set up almost.”

The RHOBH Star Defends Her Manifestation Business

Amanda insisted the teachings behind her manifestation programs are not as controversial as some castmates suggest.

“I don’t think anything I teach is really that far out there,” she explained.

She believes her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co stars misunderstood what manifestation means in her work.

“I think they made assumptions about what it means to teach manifestation related to money,” she said. “And they ran with that.”

For Amanda, the RHOBH drama feels familiar.

Reality TV, she suggests, often tells a slightly different story than the one happening behind the scenes.
