Selena Gomez dazzled on the red carpet at the 3rd Annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles. She shared her thoughts on a year full of milestones, her expanding non-profit, and her marriage to producer Benny Blanco.
The Single Soon singer was radiant as she spoke about what the night meant to her.
“It’s not always amazing having all the things you’re listing,” she admitted to Entertainment Tonight. “It comes with a lot more. But out of all those things, this is probably the one thing I’m most proud of.”
The Rare Impact Fund is celebrating five years. It focuses on youth mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Selena proudly shared, “We’ve raised so much money. We’re reaching two million young people every day. We’re doing so much, and I just hope this is the beginning.”
“He Knows What Matters to Me”
Selena’s husband, Benny Blanco, joined her at the event. Fans loved their subtle red carpet connection.
When asked about his support, Selena’s smile said it all. “It’s so important to have a partner who understands where your values are and what’s important to you,” she said. “If they don’t align morally, it can be cloudy. But I know what matters to him, he knows what matters to me, and we’re just there for each other.”
She laughed when the host teased Benny’s enthusiasm for the event’s charity auction. “He’s in competition with himself,” Selena said. “He’s always like, ‘I want to be a part.’ And I’m like, okay, you can.”
Rare Beauty, Real Impact
Selena also reflected on the success of her Rare Beauty brand and the purpose behind it.
“When I first started Rare Beauty, I didn’t know it would be what it is,” she said. “Before we sold a single product, we created this fund. Now to see it flourish while the business does the same, it’s really rewarding.”
Her brand is changing the game for inclusivity and mental health in beauty. She shows no signs of slowing down.
“Only Murders” Heads to London
The pop icon confirmed that filming for the sixth season of Only Murders in the Building will take place in London.
“Apparently, we’re going to London,” she said, laughing. “They’re my family, so being able to go anywhere with them is a gift. I can’t wait.”
The Emmy-nominated Hulu comedy is one of Selena’s favorite roles. Fans are excited about the new international twist.
