Kody Brown from Sister Wives is trying to turn the page, or at least, that’s what he says. In a new TLC promo for the upcoming season, the 55-year-old patriarch reflects on his fractured family. He admits he wants peace, but the effort hasn’t been mutual.
“I literally just compartmentalized the heartbreak. I don’t know what to do,” Kody says in the clip, his voice heavy with regret. “I would love healing with every single person I know. I would love healing with Meri. I would love healing with Janelle. I would love healing with Christine and, of course, all of my children.”
But the line that really got fans talking? When Kody added, “I think we’re at an impasse here because this healing can only happen on their terms, only.”
Sister Wives: Fans Say Kody Still Doesn’t Get It
Viewers weren’t exactly moved by Kody’s sudden moment of self-awareness. The top comment read bluntly: “Healing starts within yourself, Kody.” Another user echoed the sentiment, writing, “How about you humble yourself and ask forgiveness of your children?”
Some fans said Kody focuses on his public image instead of fixing relationships. One comment summed up the general vibe perfectly: “He didn’t like how he looked last season, so he’s trying a different approach.”
Meanwhile, others said Kody’s problem isn’t “their terms” it’s that he’s not willing to listen. “Healing can happen if you are willing to hear their pain,” one fan pointed out.
