Kody Brown has officially entered his redemption era, and it’s every bit as messy as expected. The new Sister Wives episode began with the fallen polygamist saying he is on a “pilgrimage.” He wants to apologize to Meri, Janelle, and Christine after years of fights, distance, and harsh breakups on TV.
But he didn’t mince words about how he got here. Kody actually confessed, “I never thought I was [an a**hole] until I got divorced. I thought everybody liked me.” He then added that hearing three women call him out at once finally made him face it.

Kody spoke with Robyn, his only remaining wife. He said he wants to let go of his anger and “set them free.” He added, “I want to apologize for what I know I’ve done.”
He reminded viewers that he once said he never loved his ex-wives. He admitted those words came from “anger, not honesty.””
Still, he also tried to soften expectations, saying, “I don’t know if we’ll get healing out of it. I can hope we would.”

Janelle Brown Isn’t Buying It
Viewers saw Janelle and her daughter Madison. Janelle shared that Kody unexpectedly contacted her to “extend the olive branch” in North Carolina.
Janelle’s response? Suspicion and side-eye.
“We’re not friends. I’m not gonna facilitate for you,” she told her daughter. She also admitted she had “no desire” to deal with Robyn.
Still, she agreed to meet him, even if her face said she wanted to be anywhere else.

Kody admitted on camera that he chose Janelle first because she’s the least likely to rip his head off. He even joked that he needed divine intervention to make it through.
“Father in Heaven, I need some help here, ‘cause me, this jack wagon… I’m just an a**hole to most people and I really don’t want to do that anymore.”
He also admitted he hasn’t reached out to Meri or Christine yet because his “heart isn’t soft enough” to face them. Translation: he’s not ready to get emotionally body-slammed.

Kody’s apology tour might seem poetic, but fans doubt his sincerity. They think this sudden change isn’t genuine.
Leon Brown recently called him out on Instagram. He said the person never reached out after Garrison’s death and even ignored them at the funeral. They called the entire apology storyline “a lie” and labeled Kody “a joke of a father.”
Online reactions have been brutal. One viewer pointed out, “Amazing he can take all these trips but can’t leave the tenders for his daughter’s surgery.” One person said the apology should start with his kids, not the women who have moved on and built better lives without him.
