Kody Brown is once again raising eyebrows, and not for the reasons he hoped. In the latest episode of Sister Wives, the 56-year-old TLC star tried to make his body odor a romantic gesture for his wife, Robyn Brown.
While packing their five-bedroom home in Flagstaff, Arizona, Kody said on camera, “I can smell my own armpits, and it’s gross.” But instead of backing away, he decided to make a move, one that fans say they’ll never forget.
“Why don’t you come over and smell my pheromones?” he teased, grinning at Robyn. “Oh, wow, I’m always peacocking an aura. Something I would never do with another woman.”
Robyn didn’t exactly swoon. Her face said it all as Kody continued to joke about his “stinky body” being romantic.
“We’ve been moving for months now. We haven’t had a romantic getaway, an escape, time together,” Kody said. “We’ve become battle buddies, not lovers. So I’m just flirting around here, just having some fun with it, making my stinky body something romantic. Hey, you smell those pheromones? It means you’re digging on me.”
Robyn didn’t look impressed. She later admitted, “We’re such a big family culture of no affection with Kody and wives in front of each other that when it came to anything public, I just would shy away from flirting with him. Now I’m having to get comfortable with it.”
But Kody wasn’t done. Smiling at her, he added, “Because she don’t like it.”
Robyn quickly corrected him. “It’s not that I don’t like it,” she said firmly. “I’m just not going to give you attention when you’re doing it. I’ll give you attention when you’re not doing it.”
Still, Kody pressed on. “I’ve always been comfortable flirting with Robyn. I think it’s just going to take time for her to get used to this monogamy thing,” he said, before adding the now-infamous line: “Eventually, I want to be walking down the street with her someday, maybe in a shopping mall or something like that, have her just slap my as*.”
That last remark left Sister Wives fans completely mortified.

One viewer wrote, “Kody is sickening in absolute every way 🤢 Robyn is just as bad, so let her wallow in his stink.”
Another said, “OMG!!!! I am speechless…” while a third added, “E! News you are SO WRONG for this title and clip. This is so embarrassing.”
Others thought the whole scene screamed midlife crisis. “Gross midlife crisis‼️ He is going to cheat on her, mark my words‼️💯,” one person wrote.
