Tensions rise on Sunday’s Sister Wives. Robyn and Kody Brown arrive at the Coyote Pass closing but won’t talk to Meri or Janelle. Even by Brown-family standards, the silence is brutal.
Justin, the realtor, tries to keep the mood professional.
“We’re ready to go,” he says. “Everything’s spelled right and all the deeds are printed out.”
Janelle jumps in first, telling him the sale “will go a long way,” a clear nod to her new life and business in North Carolina. Meri stands next to her. They both flip through the paperwork to check for any surprises Kody might have hidden.

Kody and Robyn turn around and immediately make a straight, silent sprint to their car.

No “bye.”
Not even a forced smile.
“They didn’t even say ‘hi’ and they didn’t even say ‘bye,’” Meri says. “It was like, ‘OK, I am invisible to you.’”
Janelle doesn’t bite her tongue either.
“I think Robyn felt like she was going to be persecuted or attacked,” she says. “No, we can be adults here, but whatever.”
Both women agree the whole thing was “super awkward.” Honestly, that’s putting it mildly.

When Robyn faces producers, she tries to explain the freeze-out.
“I don’t really endorse fakeness,” she says. “I don’t pretend like everything’s OK when it’s not.”
Kody jumps in to defend her, calling her his shy, delicate wife who “hates girl games” and “reads nuance way different.”
Translation: Robyn didn’t want to say hello.
Meri and Janelle somehow handled it all. They didn’t dash back to their cars like cartoon characters.

After the episode aired, Janelle shared on Instagram about losing her close friend, Angela Moody. Angela passed away at 51 on October 1. The series ended the episode with a tribute to Angela — but Janelle went even deeper.
What she shared was gutting.
She said she still checks Angela’s location on her phone. It comforts her to see it pop up, even though she knows her friend is gone.
Then she revealed something even more emotional.
Her family did the same thing after losing Garrison in 2024.
Janelle mentioned that she and her kids kept Garrison’s phone on for a “long time.” They found comfort in seeing his location. Eventually, the battery died, but they found other ways to keep his spirit close.
