In a new episode of Sister Wives, Robyn and Kody Brown opened up. They discussed emotional intimacy, aging, and even dancing. But what was meant to be a sweet, romantic exchange had fans rolling their eyes.
Kody opened the conversation with a joke. “I just thought of joking around with you, making it sound like it was me keeping you up, not the kids.”
Robyn smirked. “That’d be better, actually.”
Kody leaned in. “Would it?”
“Oh yeah,” Robyn replied.
Kody then said, “Emotional intimacy is something that is constantly necessary for Rob and I.”
From there, the talk turned unexpectedly sentimental. Robyn admitted, “It’s the weirdest thing in the world to have children old enough to have their own complete lives separate from home. I don’t feel as old as I am.”
Kody agreed, “There’s a point in your life when you don’t feel like an old person. Like, I don’t feel like an old person.”
The couple then decided maybe dancing could bring them closer again.

Robyn confessed, “You go off into your crazy stuff, you start doing, and I’m like, no, not.”
Kody laughed, “When we’re just together, when it’s just you and me.”
Robyn described their dance styles as totally mismatched. “When we dance, he’s very exuberant, very enthusiastic, and he’s very out there. I’m just more like, let’s just dance. And he’s like, let’s add flair, let’s throw out arms, let’s make it exciting. I’m not going to match his exuberance. It’s just embarrassing to me.”
Then Kody got philosophical. “The tango, it’s a vertical expression of a horizontal wish,” he said, grinning.
Robyn giggled awkwardly. “Yeah, tango is a more intimate dance. I wouldn’t be comfortable doing that with anybody but my hubby.”
Kody teased, “You’re asking if I could be tamed. Well, I am a monogamist now, so maybe I can be tamed. And again, there’s always a wild man in here.”
Kody ended the scene dreaming of old-school church dances. Robyn hinted that he might want to take a few lessons before they try again.
Sister Wives: Fans Call It “Awkward” and “Painful”
TLC posted the clip on Instagram, but fans didn’t hold back. Many said they skipped right over it.
“I skip right over their scenes… Snooze fest,” one person commented. Another wrote, “Robyn still with this fool? 😩”
One fan went even harder, calling out Robyn directly: “SKANKY SKANK NEEDS TO LET HER ELDEST KIDS LIVE THEIR OWN LIFE. I CALLED IT – THEY’D USE THE OLDER KIDS FOR A STORYLINE.”
Others predicted the couple’s end. “They will be divorced soon. There are no other wives to throw a blanket over the cracks in their marriage,” one viewer said.
