90 Day Fiancé: Rebecca Broke Down In Therapy Over Something She'd Kept Hidden

Zied and Rebecca sat down with dating and relationship coach Persia Lawson on 90 Day: The Last Resort season 3, starting with a simple assignment: list what they appreciate about each other. The conversation didn’t stay simple for long.

Rebecca brought up how hurt she’d been by Zied’s earlier comment about wanting a “real wife,” a moment that had already caused real friction between them. When Persia asked Zied to explain what he meant, he framed it around control rather than traditional roles.

“I like my wife to give me time when she finishes her job. I like when my wife is strong with other people; I like it. With me, I do not like it when she wants to put me under control,” he said. “Because I am living in her country, plus we have different ages between us.”

Rebecca Names Her Own Role In The Pattern

Rather than dismissing his perspective, Rebecca reflected on it honestly in her confessional, acknowledging her own personality as part of the equation.

“I understand that Zied is younger and from another country. My personality can sometimes be overwhelming. I like being in control of things, and as much as I can do to make him happy, there’s nothing I can do to change who I am,” she said. “I mean, if I can’t make him happy, why should we be together?”

That kind of self-awareness is rare in a season full of couples deflecting blame entirely onto each other. Rebecca isn’t excusing Zied’s frustration, but she’s also not pretending she has nothing to do with it.

The Revelation That Changed The Room

The session took a much heavier turn when Rebecca shared something she’d been carrying privately. Three years ago, she learned she still had viable eggs and could have pursued surrogacy to have a child. She later discovered that surrogacy conflicts with Zied’s religious beliefs, closing off a path she’d only just found.

Rebecca linked her disappointment to changes in Zied. He started going to the gym more, made new friends, and changed his phone password. Persia asked directly whether that shift had been difficult for them both.

Zied’s answer was gentle, but it didn’t fully resolve the loss underneath it. “I want a kid from Rebecca for sure, but she can’t do that. It’s not her fault. It’s God,” he said.

Rebecca admitted a fear that has clearly been sitting with her since. She worries that one day Zied might wake up wanting children. It’s a possibility she can’t offer him, no matter how their relationship unfolds. Persia urged the couple to focus on their current relationship. She reminded them that they can’t control a future that’s just a guess.

90 Day Fiancé: Rebecca Had The Perfect Comeback To Zied's "Real Wife" Demand

A Moment Of Genuine Warmth

Despite how heavy the conversation got, the session ended somewhere softer. Rebecca thanked Zied directly and asked him to be more emotionally open with her going forward.

“You’re really easy to get along with daily, and I am very grateful for how you take care of me every day,” she told him. “You’re constantly asking me if I need something, and you’re very sweet.”

Zied said afterward that his feelings toward Rebecca had genuinely improved, calling her someone with a big heart.

The Peace Didn’t Last

Whatever ground they gained in that session didn’t hold. A preview for the next episode shows the couple hitting turbulence again, with Rebecca asking to see Zied’s phone. He refused and walked out of the room.

The details from this session matter a lot. Rebecca’s struggles with fertility and Zied changing his password at the same time add to the importance of that phone request. It means more here than in other relationships. Whatever Zied is protecting, or simply asserting his right to privacy over, it’s landing on top of a wound Rebecca is still working through.
