Newcomer Britani Bateman from “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” made a splash at Us Weekly’s studio. She arrived in a bikini, not business casual, for her Reality Stars of the Year appearance.
The host’s jaw dropped the moment she walked in. “Oh my God, this is so good. I love it so much!” he said, while Britani laughed, adding, “I couldn’t resist. I brought this suit to New York, and it just fit right in.”
The reality star joked that she “had no idea what the dress code would look like” but decided to go bold anyway. “I can be done now. That’s all I needed to hear,” she quipped after being called the host’s “favorite housewife of all time.”
RHOSLC: “I felt like I was pledging a sorority”
During the lighthearted chat, Britani got candid about joining the RHOSLC cast and how intimidating it was at first.
“I wasn’t even watching the show before I joined,” she admitted. “After I filmed my first season, I looked back and was like, ‘Oh, that’s why they’re so magical together, they have all this history.’ I definitely felt like an outsider at first. It felt like I was pledging a sorority.”
Britani said she faced “a lot of walls and resistance.” However, she thinks her castmates are beginning to see her true self. “I’m not hiding anything, for better and mostly for worse,” she said with a laugh.
RHOSLC: Fans had mixed reactions
The clip quickly spread online, and the internet had opinions lots of them.
Some fans loved her confidence. “She looks fantastic!” one user wrote, while another commented, “That’s why they hate her, she has a banging body!”
But others weren’t as impressed. One viewer admitted, “This is exactly how I like my housewives. I won’t elaborate further,” while another said, “She’s so desperate in all the ways. Second-hand embarrassment is real.”
Still, even the critics couldn’t deny one thing: Britani knows how to make an entrance. As one fan perfectly put it, “Britani Bikini Bateman, a housewife indeed.”
