Kyle Richards' Daughter Alexia Umansky Says 'Nepo Baby' Backlash Sent Her to Therapy

Alexia Umansky is done staying quiet.

Kyle Richards’ daughter, with luxury real estate mogul Mauricio Umansky, is finally speaking out. She has faced years of being called a “nepo baby.” In a heartfelt Instagram video, Alexia shared that the constant criticism became too much. She had to address it in therapy.

Her comments offer a rare look at the emotional side of growing up in one of reality TV’s most famous families. Many think Alexia had it easy, but she says pressure has been with her every step.

RHOBH: “I’m Very Aware I’m a Nepo Baby”

Alexia didn’t deny that her family’s success opened doors. Instead, she addressed the criticism head-on.

“I’m very aware that I am a nepo baby. I know that very, very much.” She then questioned why strangers constantly feel the need to remind her. “When you guys say to me, ‘Your daddy gave you everything,’ I genuinely just want to know why people feel the need to tell me that.”

She also called out one detail that particularly bothers her. “Does it make you guys feel good to call my dad, daddy? Does that make you feel like that’s going to make me feel small?”

RHOBH: The Criticism Became a Therapy Battle

Alexia admitted the public comments affected her far more than many people realize. “I think about it every day.” She shared that the pressure grew so intense that she had to handle it professionally. “This is a battle I’ve had to overcome in therapy.”

Alexia almost didn’t join her father’s real estate company. She knew how people would react. “I didn’t want to join real estate for this exact reason. I knew people would be all over me about it.”

That honesty makes her message more relatable. Many think famous kids have it easy, but Alexia says she faced judgment long before joining the family business.

RHOBH: “When Will It Ever Be Enough?”

Alexia has worked with Mauricio Umansky at The Agency since she was 22. She also appeared with her family on Netflix’s Buying Beverly Hills. Now 30, she wonders if the criticism will ever stop.

“When will it be enough? Will it ever be enough?” She stressed that her career choices weren’t forced on her.

“I do real estate with my dad. I did reality TV like my mom. I chose to do those things because I love those things.”
