RHOBH's Dorit Kemsley Gets Last Minute Lifeline as $6.5 Million Foreclosure Sale Is Halted

Dorit Kemsley might have caught a big break just as her money issues were about to hit a breaking point.

After weeks of news about her $6.5 million Encino mansion facing foreclosure, there’s a new update: the property won’t be sold after all. Attorney Ronald Richards said the lender confirmed that Dorit and her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, are working together to settle the debt.

The foreclosure sale was set to happen, but then Richards received a message from the lender that changed everything.

“There will be no sale. Borrowers are handling the debt and working their way out of foreclosure.”

Richards remained cautious about the development. “Let’s see if this becomes true.” Dorit hasn’t confirmed the news yet, but the lender’s statement hints that the risk of losing her home is gone.

RHOBH: Dorit Says She Didn’t Know the Mortgage Was Unpaid

Dorit has said before that she didn’t know the mortgage payments stopped after her split from PK. She said the former couple agreed on how to handle finances after their split.

“I didn’t plan for the mortgage not being paid, and it was never brought to my attention.” She added that she only discovered the foreclosure around the same time the public did.

“I found out about the foreclosure around the same time the world did.”

Some fans felt sympathy from those comments. They also raised new questions about how the estranged couple communicates.

Dorit realized that selling the home could be the best option, even before the latest update. She said moving forward is tough. Communication with PK has been limited. More recently, she shared that she still hopes they can work together.

“The house should come out of foreclosure.”

She continued:

“If PK and I are not together, it makes sense for us to sell the home and for the kids and I to move somewhere else.”
