Josh finally said what needed to be said. In Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé, he talked with his fiancée, Catie, about her birthday party. He was open about what happened.
What Actually Happened At The Party
Last week, Catie got drunk at her birthday party. She aggressively tried to kiss several male friends. Every single one of them turned her down. Josh stood there and watched it happen, visibly uncomfortable.
It got bad enough that one of her friends, Mark, pulled Josh aside and told him he needed to stop staying quiet. Mark’s advice was blunt: Josh needed to give Catie some tough love.
The Morning After Did Not Go Better
Sunday’s episode picked up with the fallout. Catie spent part of it throwing up in the bathroom, telling Josh she did not remember any of it.
Josh did not let her off easy. “You were literally trying to make out with anything that moves,” he told her.
Josh Says Sorry Isn’t Enough Anymore
Catie apologized, but this is not the first time. Josh noted that she has apologized many times for the same issue: trying to kiss others when drunk. She has linked this behavior to her past OCD. Josh made it clear that another apology was not going to fix anything this time.
“Sorry stops meaning anything after a while,” he said. “You hear enough sorries and you want to see action.”
Catie’s Answer Left Josh With More Questions
Josh directly asked her what she thinks about when she kisses others, even though she has a partner who loves her. Her answer was blunt.
“I think, just, I can love you but also want to kiss everyone else,” she said.
That is a hard thing to hear from your own fiancée, and it is easy to see why Josh needed more than another apology this time.
Her Friends Didn’t Want Any Part Of It
Josh also pointed out something Catie seemed to be avoiding. Her guy friends did not want to kiss her back. Cameras showed her friend Mark actively pushing her face away when she came at him.
When Catie worried she crossed Mark’s boundaries, Josh reminded her she had crossed his too.
Catie Breaks Down Over Losing Friends
The conversation shifted once Catie realized how this looked to everyone around her. She worried her friends might see her differently. She feared they’d stop wanting to hang out with her.
She told the cameras that she’s lost friends before because of this same pattern while drinking.
“I’m really ashamed about it and it’s hard to talk about,” she said, before breaking down in tears.
“I will be sad if anyone abandons me,” she continued. “I worry all the time that I’ll lose Josh, and I’m worried I’ll push them away by my actions.”
Josh Draws A Hard Line Before The Wedding
With their wedding just 90 days away, Josh made it clear this is a turning point. He told Catie she needs to seriously decide what she wants, and he even considered heading back to the UK.
“I want to see that you really know what that means and that you see the commitment I’m making to you. I want to feel it in return,” he told her. “And it’s kind of up to you to figure out how to do that.”
He was just as honest with the cameras.
“I love Catie and that’s why it’s so difficult to understand what’s going on,” he said. “It seems like I either need to tolerate this in order to love her, or I walk away.”
He added, “It really is up to her to recognize what she wants and if she can be in this relationship, because right now it doesn’t look like she can.” That is about as direct as it gets. Josh is not threatening to leave for effect. He sounds like someone genuinely weighing whether this relationship can survive.
Fans Turned On Catie Fast
Catie’s reputation with fans has taken a nosedive. Early on, viewers found her sweet and were curious about her story. That changed fast once her behavior started showing up in the trailers and episodes.
The season 12 trailer did not help her case. One clip showed her kissing another man while Josh walked away, visibly humiliated. That moment changed many opinions online. Some fans even say her actions toward the men at the party crossed a line into misconduct.
Is Catie Doing Damage Control?
Since the episode aired, Catie has been active on social media. She posts reels and responds to comments. Fans spotted a trend in her recent posts. One showed her watching the bar episode with a group of female friends on camera.
Some fans think the timing is not a coincidence. One Reddit user put it simply: “Posting a staged girls’ night the same week people question the guy friend situation is the clearest optics play.”
Josh has faced some of the same scrutiny. He posted on Instagram to defend his choice to stay with Catie. He also pushed back against fans who keep mentioning her behavior.
