RHOA: Shamea Dropped A Family Secret At Dinner And Porsha Answered With A Worse One

RHOA: Shamea Dropped A Family Secret At Dinner And Porsha Answered With A Worse One

Shamea Morton held onto a family secret for years. On Sunday’s RHOA episode, she stopped holding.

“Your mom tried to sleep with my dad,” Shamea, 43, told Porsha Williams. This shocking claim about Porsha’s mother, Diane Williams, came out during a tense dinner in Scotland, in front of everyone.

Porsha, 45, did not stay stunned for long. She called Shamea and her mom “low-down, dirty snakes.” Then she denied the claim. After that, she fired back: “Your mom slept with your father’s brother.”

Shamea denied that one just as fast. In under a minute, two mothers, friends before their daughters filmed a reality show, became the season’s biggest storyline.

How The Dinner Got There

The blowup did not come out of nowhere. Porsha decided to keep her 7-year-old daughter, Pilar, away from Shamea’s home. Shamea found out about this from Porsha’s ex, Dennis McKinley.

“Dennis talked to Jeryl and told Jeryl that you are not comfortable with Pilar coming around her. That was disappointing and a little bit hurtful,” Shamea said, adding, “I would have hoped that we wouldn’t have allowed our friendship or lack thereof to affect what our kids have.”

Porsha defended the call as a boundary, not a punishment. “But if somebody doesn’t like me or I feel like somebody has ill will, we ain’t close, I am not going to have my daughter go to their house.”

Both sides make sense on their own. This is why this feud is harder to watch than a typical Housewives argument. A mother protecting her kid and a friend mourning what the kids are losing can both be right at the same time.

Shamea’s Full List Of Grievances

Before the family drama began, Shamea revealed a lot. First, she claimed that Porsha blocked her from a full-time spot on the show.

“You said, ‘Shamea, you sing, you dance, you act, you got all this stuff.’ You said this was your thing, your friend group. ‘I’ll bring you on as my friend on the show, but no, I think it might mess up our friendship if you actually come on as a full-time housewife.’ That’s what you said,” Shamea declared.

Then came the broken truce about their parents. “In Savannah, we talked about our parents, and you said, ‘Oh, I don’t ever want our friendship to be affected by our parents’ friendship.’ That’s what you said, and we agreed. But the first thing you did was went on your public platform and talked about my mom doing something egregious to your mom when, in fact, your mom did something first to my mom, and this was years prior.”

In a confessional, Shamea shared that she kept the secret about Diane to “protect and salvage” their friendship. By her account, Porsha posting about Sarah Morton publicly is what ended the ceasefire.

Porsha Calls It A Premeditated Attack

Porsha’s confessional told a completely different story about the same dinner.

“She’s literally trying to say anything to get a reaction out of me. My mind frame was to move forward, but hers was to be a snake in the grass. This was absolutely a premeditated attack to try and trigger me,” she said.

The competing narratives are the real fight here. Shamea says she held a grenade for years out of loyalty and only threw it after being betrayed first. Porsha says the grenade was the plan all along. Viewers will pick sides, but neither mother asked to become a plot point, and that is the part both daughters may regret when the season ends.

Kelli Potter Picks Her Side Publicly

While the episode aired, Kelli Potter, 41, posted her support for Shamea on Instagram.

“Tonight, I’m choosing LOVE,” Kelli wrote. “To my bestie… I hope you never let one moment make you question everything God has already shown you about who YOU are. The strongest women I know aren’t the ones who never face hard days… they’re the ones who keep showing up with grace, even when it’s difficult. Keep your MWANGI crown on, your head high, and your heart soft. The noise will fade, but character always remains.”

Shamea replied, “Aaaaah bestie boo. I love you so much. You truly are a God send.”

The Rest Of The Scotland Trip

The episode, “Highland Games and Explosive Claims,” included a fun twist. The cast took part in traditional Highland Games. The mood changed when Pinky Cole got tough news from home. She broke down in tears, and several castmates rushed to comfort her.

As season 17 wraps up, the friendship between Porsha and Shamea is the big question. Two women with decades of history just put their mothers on the table in front of cameras. Some fights on this show get resolved at the reunion.
