RHOSLC: Meredith Marks Slams Costars for “Habitually Insulting” Her Appearance After Facelift Complications

Meredith Marks has had enough of the wig jokes. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 54, told Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea that her castmates cross a line when they keep mocking how she looks.

She also opened up about her recent facelift, said her past thread lifts caused “complications,” and gave her take on Heather Gay getting booed at Bravo Fan Fest.

Meredith to Costars: “That Reflects on You”

Several costars have shaded Meredith’s new look this season, especially her wig. She says it is getting old.

“They all have extensions,” Meredith said. “Almost every Housewife has extensions or a wig or whatever. Why are we literally every episode hearing about it? It’s just so weird to me.”

She sees a difference between a joke and a pattern. “It’s one thing when you make a little snarky remark, but when you are habitually insulting a woman’s appearance, that reflects on you.”

She is not hiding her feelings. “I don’t care if they think they’re hurting my feelings or not. I don’t care what they think. They should worry about their own hair.”

Meredith also said her castmates still do not know the real reason she wears a wig. She made it clear it is none of their business. That is her right, and it is worth noting that nobody on the show has explained why they feel entitled to know.

Facelift Complications

Meredith had a facelift in February. She told Page Six it was not a rushed decision. She had wanted one for years and met with plastic surgeons in several cities before choosing one in Beverly Hills.

Her earlier thread lifts made things harder. “I have done threads in the past, and that does create some complications when you go to do the facelift,” she said. “It definitely does not help.”

A thread lift is a nonsurgical procedure that uses temporary sutures under the skin to lift and tighten it. Costar Lisa Barlow has spoken in favor of it.

Meredith compared the two experiences. “The recovery was so easy from [the facelift], and threads recovery is not,” she said. “I had a splitting headache, and I didn’t feel great after the threads.”

If she ever wanted another lifting procedure, she would choose surgery over threads. She said she was down for about two days after the facelift. “I wasn’t running around and going crazy or anything. But I deejayed about a week and a half, two weeks later. I think it was 12 days post-facelift.”

Recovery is different for every person, so her experience is not a guide for anyone else. Anyone considering a procedure should talk to a qualified doctor.

Her Take on Heather Gay Getting Booed

Meredith also addressed Heather Gay getting booed on stage at Bravo Fan Fest. The crowd reacted after Heather backed away from her earlier claim that Jen Shah gave her a black eye on a season 4 cast trip. Heather said she was no longer sure Jen was responsible.

Meredith was not impressed by the changing story.

“I don’t understand it, to be totally honest,” she said. “I mean I don’t understand why it wasn’t just an answer to begin with. And then two years, we get a different answer. And then three years after that, we’re getting another answer. I don’t know why it’s really that big of a deal to just say what happened.”

Her point is simple. A straight answer would have ended this years ago.
