This allowed her to cross into Arizona. Meanwhile, 13-year-old Hannah remained in a Phoenix ICU with an unexplained brain bleed.
TMZ shared a video of the reunion outside the hospital. Armando and his husband, Kenny Niedermeier, walked toward each other and stopped for a long, tight embrace.
Then came the moment that mattered most. Inside the ICU, Armando saw Hannah in person for the first time since her transfer to the US. Overcome with emotion, he whispered to her and kissed her forehead. Hannah, fragile but present, managed a smile for her dad.
Hannah Kept Asking If It Was Real
Kenny revealed what the cameras missed about Hannah’s reaction when she saw her father enter.
“In the video she was in shock after seeing her father and she kept asking if it was real,” Kenny told TMZ. “She seems to even be improving more since his arrival.”
Armando’s mother, who had been with Hannah and Kenny recently, received a tearful surprise. Kenny revealed she had no idea Armando would be arriving Friday afternoon.

Kenny told TMZ that he, Armando, and their immigration attorney, Kelsey Zubkoff, worked with Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva from Arizona. She supported the emergency humanitarian visa and got letters of support from Arizona Senator Mark Kelly. Kenny thanked the caring fans. He also expressed gratitude for the great Customs and Border Patrol officers in Arizona who approved his visa.
That is a congresswoman, a senator, an attorney, and thousands of fans mobilizing to get one father to one hospital room. It worked, and it also shows how much machinery it took to solve a problem that started with a 13-year-old getting sick.
The Medical Fight Isn’t Over
The reunion is the good news. The diagnosis is still missing. Doctors don’t know why Hannah had blood in her brain. This emergency left half her face droopy and made half her body weak earlier this week.
“Still very frustrating,” Kenny said of the lack of answers, while noting he is happy to see Hannah “improving and making headway.”
Hannah has already come through her latest procedure well, and by Kenny’s account, her father’s arrival has only helped her progress.
A Family Overwhelmed With Gratitude
Kenny thanked everyone who supported the family this week. He appreciated the thousands of kind messages and the fan who started the GoFundMe for Hannah’s medical bills. That fund has now reached over $146,000.
“We’re just overwhelmed with all the love and support Hannah and us as a family received,” he said. “We do not take it for granted and are forever grateful.”
Armando shared with Page Six that not holding Hannah’s hand was the hardest thing he’s ever faced. That chapter is closed. Now, the family can focus on what matters: getting Hannah her diagnosis and bringing her home.
