The Judge In Milania Giudice's Case Revealed New Details, Including The Victim's Initials

Milania Giudice appeared before a judge for the first time since her May arrest. The hearing gave the clearest account of the charges against her. On Tuesday, Judge Vincent Failla held a virtual arraignment at Montville Township Municipal Court. He read the allegation into the record.

The judge stated that Milania “did knowingly cause bodily injury to another, specifically by striking the victim, LR, in the head with her fist, causing redness to the middle of the victim’s forehead, during a domestic dispute. The charge is a disorderly persons offense, according to Page Six.

Milania, 20, has pleaded not guilty. In video obtained by The U.S. Sun, she appeared solemn throughout the brief hearing, sitting quietly beside her attorney, Alan Kraminsky, with her hair in a slicked-back ponytail.

The Initials Fueling Speculation

The court named the alleged victim only as L.R. This detail fueled rumors that started after the arrest was made public. Some fans and cast rumors suggest the victim might be Milania’s stepfather, Luis Ruelas. One version hints he was trying to break up a fight.

Nothing in the court record confirms who L.R. is, and no official source has named the victim. It’s important to mention that Milania has called Luis the “best step dad” since the arrest. This doesn’t sound like someone fighting against her alleged victim. Until the court or the family says more, the initials remain exactly that, initials.

What Milania Is Facing

If found guilty, Milania faces up to six months in jail, probation, and fines exceeding $500. Her next hearing is scheduled for August.

Her attorney asked the judge if Milania could go back to Tampa University next week. They also wanted to know if she could attend the next appearance virtually. The judge set the August date during the scheduling portion of the hearing.

How The Case Started

Milania’s older sister, Gabriella, called 911 on May 14. She told the operator that Milania was “acting erratically” and throwing “food and candles” in their New Jersey home. This information came from the arrest report first obtained by The U.S. Sun.

Officers arrived at the scene and found no injuries. However, they charged her with domestic assault with injuries. Police confirmed she carried no weapon when taken into custody. She currently faces a charge of simple assault.

Milania’s Only Public Comments So Far

Milania has not addressed the specifics of the charge, but she spoke generally about the situation in a TikTok shortly after the arrest, while disputing a fake mugshot circulating online.

“That’s AI,” she said of the image. “Sh*t happens in life. It is what it is, you gotta learn from it. Just become a better person and talk about it. I just was not in a good area in my life. That happens, I’ve been through a lot in life and some other stuff happened to me. Just because you guys think you know everything that happens in my life, you just really don’t.”

The Bravo Timing Nobody Can Ignore

The arrest happened just a month after Bravo brought back RHONJ for season 15. Teresa and her daughters are set to return. Cameras will film the cast’s reactions to the arrest news.

That timing puts the family in familiar territory. Bravo viewers saw Milania grow up on the show. This included her father Joe’s three-year prison sentence and his 2019 deportation to Italy. Teresa also served an 11-month sentence. The Giudices have turned legal crises into television before. The August hearing will help us see if this one follows the same path. The cameras are already rolling.
