RHONY: Dorinda Medley Explains What She Won’t Discuss on The Golden Life

Dorinda Medley wants viewers to see who she is today. The Real Housewives of New York City alum told the producers of The Golden Life, E!’s RHONY spinoff, that she does not want to keep talking about her late husband, Richard. She shared the request on More Life with Carl Radke. She also named the castmates she would like to see join.

RHONY: “Who I Am Today”

“I did say to them, I don’t wanna talk about Richard so much anymore,” Dorinda said on the podcast, as AOL quoted it. She said it is not because he is out of her life. She wants people to see what survival looks like after loss. She used a quilt comparison. Every patch matters, she said, and she wants his patch to stay, but she wants viewers to look at the other patches too.

Dorinda talked about grief openly during her six seasons on RHONY. The Golden Life, which just aired on E!, includes Dorinda, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, and Kelly Bensimon.

RHONY: Who She Wants to Add

In an interview with USA Today Entertainment, Dorinda said she would like Jules Wainstein back. Jules was on one season. Dorinda thinks she was shortchanged and would have been a great Housewife. She also wants a cameo from Bethenny Frankel. “She’s a part of the history of the Housewives,” Dorinda said.

Her castmates did not all agree. Kelly called Bethenny “performative.” Ramona said she likes the group as it is. Kelly would like to see Tinsley Mortimer, and Sonja picked Aviva Drescher. Bethenny has said she was never asked to join the spinoff.
