Sister Wives: Meri Brown’s Regret About Christine: What She Said

Meri Brown and Christine Brown Woolley finally sat down alone. In episode 4 of Sister Wives Season 21, the former sister wives met at a small shop in Salt Lake City to address years of tension. Both were nervous. By the end, they agreed on something they had each felt separately: that at different times, they did not feel they mattered.

Sister Wives: Breaking the Ice

Christine said she did not know what to expect. Meri wondered how they would move forward. She opened the talk directly. “Let’s address the pink elephant in the room,” she said, as PEOPLE described the scene.

The pink elephant was Season 17. Christine announced then that she was leaving Kody Brown, and she said she did not want to keep close relationships with Meri or Robyn. Earlier in the episode, Meri said she regrets not standing up for Christine when Kody lashed out. She also worried that Christine read her silence as a lack of support.

Sister Wives: Boundaries and Hurt Feelings

Meri told Christine she still feels awkward and uncomfortable at times. Christine explained her choice. She said she needed a firm boundary until she could find herself, because for years all she did was please others. Meri agreed, and called it sad that each of them had felt they did not matter.

Meri also described why she stayed with Kody so long. She said she had thought about leaving for a long time. In her telling, she feared looking like the guilty party. She believed Kody was waiting for her to speak up so that he could be the innocent one. Christine told her she had been mistreated. These are the women’s accounts. Kody was not in the episode.

Sister Wives: Questions About Kody and Robyn’s First Meeting

The two also questioned the story of how Kody and Robyn met. A flashback showed Kody saying he first caught Robyn’s eye at church. Meri said she was led to believe they met by driving past a neighbor’s home. Christine said she thinks that story was a lie too, and that the truth may be more than she thought. This is their suspicion, and the episode does not present proof. Kody and Robyn have not responded in these reports.
