Meri Brown is not putting a label on things with Ron. On the Sunday, October 18 episode of Sister Wives, she told friends the two are comfortable in the friend zone while they work out what they each want. She also made clear that any man who comes into her life needs to celebrate her.
Sister Wives: Friends, With a Spark
Meri spoke over drinks at her birthday gathering. “We’re just individually just trying to figure out what we want,” she said, after what she described as long marriages for both of them, according to PEOPLE. She called their friendship really cool. She also did not play down the chemistry. She said they would make a very cute couple and that they have both said so.
The two met at a speed-dating event about a year ago and felt drawn to each other right away. They have been on a few dates since. They have never entered a formal relationship, and they are open with each other about other people they see. On the last episode, they went river rafting. Ron called it romantic.
Sister Wives: What She Wants Next
Meri said her ideal partner is open to conversation and kind. Looks matter less. She also said she wants a man who celebrates birthdays. She said that was not always true during her marriage to Kody Brown. One of her birthdays fell the day before Janelle and Kody wed. Janelle said the church announced set wedding days, and Meri’s was one of them, so they moved it to the next day. Meri also said she shared a birthday with one of Robyn’s children. She said she has felt less celebrated throughout her life. Her next partner needs to “make me feel like the most special person ever,” she said, according to Parade.
Meri has said her word for 2026 is connection. She wants to find her person, and she is open to dating men in other cities.
Sister Wives: Taking It Slow on Purpose
This is the same message Meri gave in the October 11 preview, now with more detail. Last time, she said she moved too fast with Kody. This time she shows what slow looks like: honest talks, a close friend, and no pressure.
