Melissa Gorga Previews RHONJ Season 15 And Her Reconciliation With Teresa Giudice

Melissa Gorga wasn’t sure what to expect walking into RHONJ season 15 with a batch of new castmates. She came out the other side pleasantly surprised.

“It was strange at first because I didn’t know how this was gonna go,” she told Us Weekly. “I was actually curious myself, but they fit right in. It’s like they’re part of the family instantly. It was insane.”

She kept the praise going, describing the new season as an emotional mix. “We laugh, we cry. Amazing cast, amazing group of girls. I am super excited for everybody to meet them.”

How Long She’s Actually Been Doing This

Melissa has a personal trick for tracking her tenure on the franchise, and it says a lot about how long this show has been part of her life. “I always go off of how old my youngest son Joey Gorga Jr. is; that’s how I know how long I’ve been doing this because he was 2 months old and now he’s 16,” she said. “That’s how I always figure out how long I’ve been around with the house lights.”

A newborn turning into a 16-year-old over the course of one Housewife’s run puts the franchise’s 20-year history into a very personal frame.

Family Is Still Her Favorite Storyline

Melissa said showing her home life remains the part of the show she’s proudest of. “I feel like showing our family is where our show shines the most, just being able to come around and come full-circle,” she said. “Also, just being able to show my life at home with my kids and the type of mother I am and the children that I have is always like my peak and what makes me the happiest.”

Where Things Actually Stand With Teresa

Melissa also reflected on her relationship with Teresa Giudice now that their long feud, one that stretched back to season two and dragged in Joe Giudice and later Teresa’s daughter Gia, is finally behind them.

“I feel confident, and I feel trust, which is something that was always hard to feel before,” Melissa said. “So yeah, we’re definitely better than ever. Never going back there, like it’s never happened.”

She expanded on the reconciliation in a separate conversation with E! News at the Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th premiere. “That’s what it’s all about,” she said. “We were so proud that we were able to turn it around, and maybe we can be an example for people who think they’re never going to speak to their family members again. If we can do it, anyone can.”

That framing matters. Melissa isn’t just describing personal relief. She’s positioning the reconciliation as something viewers going through their own family estrangements might actually take something from, which is a notably bigger claim than the usual reunion-episode platitude.

The Break Came At The Right Time

RHONJ went on a two-year hiatus after the previous reunion was scrapped amid cast conflict in 2024. Melissa said the time off ended up benefiting the show. “The break was really nice,” she said, adding it left the cast “more energetic going back into it.”

She also confirmed Dolores Catania remains part of the cast alongside her and Teresa, and floated a wish list addition of her own: former RHONJ star Caroline Manzo. “I love a good Caroline moment,” Melissa said, “with the family and the kids and the cooking.”

A Finale She’s Not Ready To Spoil

Melissa did not hold back her excitement about how the season wraps, even while keeping most details close to the chest. “The season finale ended with a bang,” she teased.

She also spoke about filming Ultimate Girls Trip alongside Teresa for the franchise’s 20th anniversary season. “We had such a great time this season. It was insane,” she said. “I showed up to the Miami taping and also the finale at Dorinda Medley’s house. That was insane, fire. I don’t want to give too much away, but it was insane.”

Between a reconciliation she’s calling permanent, a new cast she says clicked instantly, and a finale she is visibly excited about, Melissa is heading into this new chapter of RHONJ sounding more optimistic about the show than she has in years.
