Vicki Gunvalson’s house guests got a lot more than golf and pizza this week. The Real Housewives of Orange County ladies split into two overnight trips in the latest episode, and the group staying at Vicki’s La Quinta home ended the night by getting kicked out of it entirely.
The Group Splits in Two
Tamra Judge took Carmella, Heather, and Gina to Los Olivos, choosing to bond with Carmella over hosting Shannon and Vicki. Meanwhile, Vicki welcomed Emily, Shannon, and Jenn to her third home in La Quinta. Shannon showed up ready to have fun, matching pajamas and party hats in tow, hoping the trip would help Vicki loosen up.
Gina Confronts Heather Over the “Trash” Comment
On the drive to Los Olivos, the women danced around Heather’s earlier comment calling Carmella “trashy.” Carmella tried to give Heather the benefit of the doubt, but admitted Heather’s behavior sometimes reads as two-faced. Gina was less forgiving, questioning the entire friendship and later confronting Heather directly over dinner. Gina said Heather was being fake. She got close to Carmella after talking badly about her. Things got tense, so Tamra had to step in to calm them down.
Vicki’s “Low-Hanging Fruit” Comment Sparks Backlash
Back in La Quinta, the mood soured fast. Jenn confronted Vicki about repeatedly taking jabs at her, calling herself “low-hanging fruit,” a description Vicki did not deny. According to Reality Tea’s episode recap, Vicki explained her coldness toward newer cast members bluntly, telling the group she does not warm up to new people easily. Emily backed Jenn up, pointing out that Vicki has plenty of opinions about everyone else but rarely opens up about herself.
To make matters more complicated, Vicki’s boyfriend Michael showed up partway through the trip, which shifted the entire mood of the house. Emily noted it is not the first time Michael has appeared unannounced during a cast trip.
Vicki Orders Everyone Out
The tension boiled over during pizza night. Jenn wanted to apologize, but Vicki thought the talk should be done. She grew defensive about being challenged in her own home. Vicki eventually walked outside to speak with production and made her position clear: she wanted everyone gone.
Why This Blowup Was Bigger Than a Comment
The “low-hanging fruit” line was the spark, but the real issue ran deeper. Jenn and Emily were not just annoyed by one comment. They were frustrated that Vicki takes shots at people without ever fully explaining herself or accepting pushback. This is a pattern to watch as the season goes on. Vicki has spent years being the OG who speaks her mind. It works fine when everyone is laughing along. It works a lot less well when the person on the receiving end decides to say something back.
