Christine, Janelle, and Meri Brown finally sat in the same room again. On the second episode of Sister Wives Season 21, the three former sister wives met to look through old photos. Christine called it their first conversation in years. An old portrait also showed that they still remember the past very differently.
A Careful First Meeting
Janelle Brown said it was the first time the three had been together since Christine Brown announced she was leaving, back in Season 17. Both Christine and Meri were nervous. Christine has said openly that she is unsure about keeping a relationship with Meri. She kept the meeting simple. She said her main goal was to get photos from Meri that she had not seen in years, according to PEOPLE.
The women laughed at many of the snapshots. One showed their children in clothes made from old curtains. They also looked at photos with Kody. Janelle recalled that his children were once his joy, and the women remembered him as a great dad for many years.
The Portrait That Went Too Far
The mood changed when Meri and Janelle suggested recreating an old portrait of the three wives. Christine said no. She felt the photo showed the “hierarchy of wives.” Meri was first, Janelle was second, and Christine was third. “I was just last,” she said. Meri saw it another way. She said she felt bad that the photo brought up those feelings for Christine.
Christine floated a motorhome trip for the three of them. Meri was cautious. She said she and Christine need to talk about what a reunion would look like first.
