Marissa and Edward’s kids conversation just got a real update. The 90 Day Fiancé couple discussed their ongoing surrogacy talks during a September 24 appearance on the I Do, Part 2 podcast. It came just days before Part 3 of the Season 12 Tell All airs.
How Edward’s Mind Started to Change
Marissa explained that their original agreement was clear from the start. “We agreed before we got married and even very, very early on in the relationship that I’m not having any kids,” she said, according to TVInsider. She said Edward accepted that fully at the time, telling her he’d rather be with her than have kids.
That has shifted since then. Marissa said she suspected all along that Edward would eventually feel differently. “I knew that he eventually was going to feel a little bit of regret by choosing a woman that wasn’t able to provide children with him,” she admitted. Pressure from Edward’s family has reportedly played a role in bringing his own desire for kids back to the surface.
Why Surrogacy Isn’t Happening Right Now
The couple has looked into surrogacy as an option. The cost is currently too high for them to move forward with it. Marissa said the Tell All conversation about surrogacy sparked an unexpected response from fans. “So many people are reaching out to me offering to be a surrogate for our relationship,” she revealed.
Even with the offers pouring in, Marissa said the timing simply isn’t right. She recently bought two businesses. Edward is still getting his own finances settled. She’s also aware time isn’t unlimited here. She’s about to turn 47. Edward is still in what she calls his prime. She said the conversation isn’t closed, just paused for now.
A Decision That Keeps Getting Revisited, Not Resolved
What’s notable here is that neither of them is actually changing their position, they’re just continuing to talk around it. Edward still wants kids. Marissa still isn’t ready or fully able to provide them. Surrogacy is one way to solve this issue. Right now, it’s blocked by money, not by either of them changing their minds. That means this conversation isn’t over, it’s just on hold until their finances catch up to what they’d need to actually act on it.
