RHOBH Alum Teddi Mellencamp Says Boyfriend PJ Conley Told Her He Doesn’t See Her in His Future

RHOBH Alum Teddi Mellencamp Says Boyfriend PJ Conley Told Her He Doesn’t See Her in His Future

Teddi Mellencamp got an answer she did not want. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 45, said her boyfriend PJ Conley, 31, told her he does not see her in his future.

Mellencamp shared the moment through tears on Friday’s episode of her iHeartRadio podcast, Two Ts in a Pod. She told cohost Dolores Catania she had not been able to talk to anyone else about it yet.

“Should We Talk About the Future?”

The conversation came after a good dinner. Mellencamp said the night had gone well until Conley raised a serious topic.

“I went out with the Valley Guy last night,” she told Catania. “We had a really good time at dinner and then after dinner, he’s like, ‘Should we talk about the future?’”

Mellencamp calls Conley “Valley Guy” on the show. The couple went Instagram official in August.

She gave him an honest answer. “I kind of just talk day-to-day, to be perfectly honest. I don’t know if I’m going to be alive in the future. I just am enjoying where I’m at, you know?”

Conley then asked what she would say about him. That is when he gave his own answer.

Mellencamp said he told her, “When I look at a future, I don’t see you in it.”

He Said He Felt “Terrible”

Mellencamp said Conley was kind about it. He told her he felt “terrible” that he could not give her what she wanted. He also said his family’s warm welcome had surprised him, because he had expected more worry about their age difference.

She called her own reply “lovely.” She said he makes “a nice effort” and has been chivalrous. He also introduced her to his parents and roommate.

Still, the words hurt. “Whether he knew it or not, he was breathing life into me,” Mellencamp said. “But now I feel like, am I just not good enough?”

Why This Hit So Hard

Some people would call a few months a short time. Mellencamp does not see it that way. She said it feels like “such a long time” because she is “living in this very weird state of my life where I don’t know myself anymore.”

She is trying to “become the new me” and to love that new version, “even though she’s very different.”

She also leaned on Conley during a hard stretch. “He makes me feel comfortable,” she said. “I have issues walking and doing stuff, getting on steps. He’s helped me through all of this.”

Conley’s honesty is easy to understand. He knows where his life is going, and he said so. But Mellencamp was not asking for a promise. She was looking for steady ground, and for her that matters more than the calendar.

Teddi’s Health Journey

Mellencamp was diagnosed with melanoma in 2022. The cancer later spread to her brain and lungs. She has said she is now cancer-free, but she still faces about seven more months of treatment.

She has three children with ex-husband Edwin Arroyave. They married in 2011 and split in 2024. She was also married to Matt Robertson from 2006 until 2008.

It is not fully clear from her quotes whether she and Conley are officially over. For now, Mellencamp is dealing with the hurt in public and in her own words.
